CARMEL CORN

CARMEL CORN                           

1 cup margarine,
1 lb. Brown sugar ( 2 1/4 cups)
1 cup white Karo syrup
Brink to boil- cook 5 minutes
Cool slightly,  Add: 1 can Eagle Brand Sweetened Condensed Milk, 
½ tsp. salt
Cook to soft ball stage

Pour over 8-10 qts popped corn 
*   At 3,000 ft elevation:   Softball is  220°  Firm Ball is 235°
