QUICK PERFECT PIE CRUST

QUICK PERFECT PIE CRUST     still my old standby pie crust
Makes two crusts.

from Jan's High School Home Ec Teacher

2   cups flour
1 scant cup shortening
1 tsp. salt
1/2  scant cup ice water
Sift and blend together with fork or pastry knife to look like cornmeal. Add water all around forming holes to get in well. Knead very little. Roll out on floured board and cut  out 2" around top of pie pan.
If cooking crusts alone for cream pies, bake at 400 degrees until lightly golden
