Hamburger Goulash

Sam enjoys this when we want a quick hot meal

  • 1 Pound ground beef
  • 1 small onion (chopped)
  • garlic minced or garlic powder
  • 1 can tomato sauce
  • 2-3 cups Tomato Juice
  • 1 canned diced tomatoes
  • 1 tsp. oregano
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  •  season salt
  • 1 cup uncooked elbow macaroni

Instructions:

  1. Cook macaroni in boiling water per instructions- rinse and drain.
  2. Meanwhile cook the meat over medium heat, breaking up the meat as it cooks into small pieces.  Stir in the onions and garlic. Cook and stir the mixture until the onions are translucent.
  3. Stir in tomato sauce, juice, diced tomatoes and heat to simmer, stirring occasionally.
  4. Stir in the pasta, cover, and simmer over low heat, stirring occasionally. Add more tomato juice as needed for preferred consistency.
